Ping, ping, ping, ERRRRR. Bryce (one of my cabinmates) shot the puck right into the goal. My turn to play. Bryce hasn't lost at air hockey yet. EEEEEEEEEEEEK! I turn my head and see water gushing from behind the piano! Sean jumped onto the air hockey table, I follow. We watch people run out the door one screaming “ohmygodohmygod!”. Sean jumped off the table and ran out the door. I however was too shocked to jump. Someone grabs me and takes me out the door. They set me down outside with a girl. We run down the stairs filled with water. There was water just flying off the hill into the brook right in front of us. We were at the bottom. We turned left and headed for the trading post. We hopped onto the deck. The girl started screaming; I want my mommy, I want my mommy!!! We stayed there for about 2 minutes listening to the girl scream. Some one came across the now extremely large river and asked if we needed help we all said “yes!”. He went back and I wondered what he was doing until he came back across the river with two other men. One of which picked me up and started carrying me across the river. I could feel him struggling across the river. I could feel the resistance. “Oh my god,”I thought, “Is he going to fall?!?!”.He had made it across the river, “Whew” I thought. He crossed the bridge that was almost overflowing with water. He walked up to the nearest cabin and set me down on the steps. That night I lie awake thinking, “ this is one of those things that could impact your life forever.”and, “that was totally awesome!” And then...........nothing, The excitment had put me to sleep.
